Summary

17 listed East Texas counties, not a 1935 law.

The bill rewrites the boundary of the Angelina and Neches River Authority so that it covers the Neches River watershed and its tributaries in 17 listed East Texas counties, instead of pointing to a 1935 law as amended in 1977. It also says that a boundary defect, or an overlap or conflict with another authority or district, does not make the authority invalid. The authority's territory is now spelled out county by county in current law, and boundary errors cannot be used to challenge its existence, starting September 1, 2025.
