Caption from analyzed text · version I.

Summary

$5M in insured property becomes $20M. Revenue goes from $10M to $100M.

This bill raises the size cutoffs that let insurers skip certain state rules on property and casualty policy forms for large business customers. To be exempt, a customer must now have at least $20 million in insured property, $100 million in yearly revenue, or much higher premiums, instead of the current $5 million, $10 million, and $25,000 to $50,000 levels. Fewer mid-sized buyers will fall into the exemption, so more of their policy forms will have to follow the state form rules for policies issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2026.
