Summary

Report due December 1, 2026, on which are no longer needed.

The bill orders the comptroller to review every board, committee, council, group and task force under its office and to report to the Legislature by December 1, 2026, on which ones are no longer needed. It also repeals three existing provisions tied to comptroller committees and removes the requirement that the comptroller consult an advisory committee before using a certain account's earnings for investment expenses. The comptroller's office loses those committees and the advisory step right away, and the review law itself expires at the end of 2026.
