Summary
The Legislative Budget Board shows what each mandate adds to premiums.
The bill orders the Legislative Budget Board to write a cost estimate for every bill that makes health insurers cover new benefits, pay providers more, or follow new contract or paperwork rules. The estimate must show what the bill would cost insurers and what it would add to premiums and other costs paid by people on those plans. Starting with bills filed on or after September 1, 2025, that estimate gets attached to the bill right after its regular fiscal note.
