relating to a required provision in certain governmental entity contracts regarding the carrying of handguns by license holders.

Summary
Anyone using public property cannot ban licensed handgun carriers.
The bill requires every contract for the use of state or local government property to include a clause saying the contractor may not ban licensed handgun carriers from the property. It touches state agencies, universities, courts, counties, cities, special districts, and anyone who rents or uses their property, such as event organizers and vendors. Starting September 1, 2025, new or renewed contracts must carry the clause, so a contractor cannot post 30.06 or 30.07 signs on public property unless other law already bans guns there.
