relating to a required provision in certain governmental entity contracts regarding the carrying of handguns by license holders.

Summary
Contractors on government property can’t keep out license holders.
The bill requires every contract for the use of property owned or leased by a state agency, court, college, county, city or other local government to include a clause barring the contractor from keeping out handgun license holders. That touches anyone who rents or leases public property, such as event promoters, vendors and tenants, plus the government bodies that write those contracts. Starting September 1, 2025, new, renewed or modified contracts must carry the clause, so contractors on public property cannot post the gun-free notice signs unless another law already bans handguns there.
