Summary

Memorial Day weekend, mid-April and early May join summer and New Year’s.

This bill adds new statewide windows when licensed retail fireworks sellers may sell to the public: late February into early March, mid-April, early May, Memorial Day weekend, and the days around Diwali. These join the existing summer and New Year's windows. It also drops the rule that limited the early-May window to stores within 100 miles of the Texas-Mexico border in counties whose commissioners court approved it, and it repeals a separate subsection, so the new windows apply everywhere starting September 1, 2025.
